Job Description
We are currently seeking an Enrollment Services Associate who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

We’re looking for a special kind of person to work closely with HCC officials in coordinating and managing college enrollment services at multiple college sites, including registration, admissions, student records, testing referrals and compliance with state reporting.
Whether you’re advising students, updating program plans or representing HCC at a community recruitment and retention event, you’ll be a critical part of the creation of the student experience.
Summary
The Enrollment Services Associate is responsible for working closely with College Officials in coordinating and managing college enrollment services at multi-college sites to include registration, admissions, student records, testing referrals and compliance of state reporting.
Essential Functions
Advise and assist students of the enrollment process (admissions, assessment, financial aid, advisement registration, orientation etc.).
Represent the College at community recruitment and retention events.
Coordinate with the district and various entities in the reconciliation of data for state and federal reporting to ensure compliance and meet accountability requirements.
Implement departmental goals based on the College Strategic Plan.
Develop and implement effective and efficient internal controls in Enrollment Services.
Provide admissions testing referrals for pre- and post-test assessments (i.e., standardized test(s) approved by the Coordinating Board).
Establish, implement and monitor security procedures for securing transcript materials, validate and issue official college transcripts and verifications.
Monitor and process the Never Attended report according to District guidelines for accurate Federal Financial Aid reporting.
Research, recommend and process approval or denial of refund petitions.
Coordinate and college/department trainings regarding enrollment services.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training.
If applicable, schedule, supervise and evaluate staff. Monitors staff functions.
If applicable, input and approve time and labor data for staff.
Promote college retention by properly screening and providing information to advise students regarding the withdrawal process, Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements, standardized test reinstatement, and TSI regulatory compliance (i.e. check status at initial contact, set milestones and groups, enter test scores term activate, track audit exceptions.).
Coordinate efforts in maintaining regulatory compliance of TSI.
Implement departmental goals based on the Colleges Strategic plan.
Disseminate information on college policies and procedures related to student enrollment.
Maintain confidentiality of information in business processes related to students, faculty and staff (i.e. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), employee records, etc.)
Represent the College in various District, College, State and National organizations in matters relating to enrollment management.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
Education & Expereince
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2 years’ work experience in Enrollment Services or Student Services in a college setting preferred

• Advanced proficiency in the use of personal computers, data entry, training, troubleshooting, and query information
General office. May frequently be required to walk; stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, photocopier, file cabinets, and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to reach and bend, and use 2-step stool while safely lifting and lowering boxes. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
